Description
Boise Period Project is a nonprofit that seeks to end period poverty in the Boise area. They take donations of pads, tampons, and other menstrual supplies to create period packs that are distributed to participating drop off venues. For their logo, it was important for me to create something that felt welcoming to all menstruators. I created a mark that celebrated the body by stylizing the uterus into an almost Fleur-de-lis shape. The main shape of the mark became a mirrored and stylized “P” for Period Project which allows them to grow beyond the city in the future. There’s also a little bit of blood in this mark for good measure. No blue liquid substitutes here.
